International Woman’s Day is an annual celebration for Zonta and in March 2017, they will host their annual fundraiser and networking event at Lure.
This year’s celebration focuses on the partnership between Zonta and schools. Zonta have a strong commitment to young woman and fostering them to achieve their potential through leadership and education. Zonta have invited secondary students from the Whitsunday region to highlight their work with wearable fashion, art portfolios and musical performances, to showcase the wonderful talented youth in the community.
Dynamic speaker for the event is Margaret Staib, who will speak about her career in the Defence Forces and the challenges she faced working is what is seen traditionally as a man’s world.

- Doors open at 9.30am for a 10am start.
- Cost of the tickets is $60 per person, including an elegant brunch, welcome drink and complimentary parking on-site.
- Entertainment will be provided by a local duo.
This event is open to the public.
