Lure strikes GOLD at the Whitsunday Tourism Awards

In a 2017 Whitsunday Tourism Awards gala dinner on Hamilton Island this weekend, Lure – Abell Point Marina, won GOLD for Specialised Tourism Service. This award recognized the contribution Lure has made over the last twelve months to the weddings, conference and events market in the stunning Whitsundays.

With an expansive waterfront balcony, contemporary interior design, dedicated event organisers and a quality food and beverage offer, Lure has become a favourite venue with brides and event organisers throughout the country.

Located in the heart of breathtaking Abell Point Marina, which also took out GOLD for Major Tourism Attraction, Lure is perfectly located to offer the waterfront wedding of your dreams.
Lure opened just over 12 months ago and has slowly forged it’s place in the Whitsunday wedding market. Lure was incredibly proud to be the first venue on the Whitsunday coast mainland to host a wedding for 100 guests, a mere six days after Tropical Cyclone Debbie.

In the business events space, Lure can accommodate corporate events from 30 – 220 guests in either a sit-down or cocktail style format. Breakout spaces on-site include the marina foreshore, the Abell Point Parkway (under development) or Hemingway’s restaurant, which all offer another element to the expanding offer available by Lure. Furthermore, all these spaces offer amazing views back over the glamorous array of yachts berthed in this award-winning marina.

For those who prefer tropical over traditional and are looking for something a little different for their next event, the team at Lure are well versed in catering for any requests.

The Whitsundays is one of the most popular travel destinations in Australia, with 365 days of sunshine and a tropical relaxed vibe. Why not consider Lure and the Whitsundays for your next function or event.
