With guest Executive Chef, Ben Williamson from Gerard’s Bistro, Brisbane providing the inspiration for the main course, and MasterChef Season 8’s Chloe Bowles whipping up one of her signature deserts, guests will be blown away by the degustation feast on offer for this event. Taking the guests on a culinary journey, explaining ingredients, processes and techniques you will be entertained by these true professionals as they impart their knowledge and experience on the diners.
Voted one of the top 10 restaurants in Brisbane in Australian Gourmet Traveller 2016 Restaurant Guide, Gerard’s Bistro is where Ben showcases his Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern inspired cuisine. Ben was awarded Chef of the Year in the 2017 Queensland Good Food Guide and has appeared as the guest chef challenger on Master Chef Australia. His wealth of experience and culinary passion will be conveyed throughout his master class. Of visiting the Whitsundays, Ben is excited to see the range of local produce we have in the region and to share his passion for food with the team at Lure.
Also hosting at this incredible event will be former MasterChef Australia contestant Chloe Bowles. A popular contestant in season 8 Chloe will be showcasing a delicious tropical desert to delight the dinner guests. Chloe was inspired to apply for the latest season of MasterChef to start her culinary journey and satisfy her passion for food. Fast becoming a viewer’s favourite during the series due to her bright personality and adventurous dishes, which impressed the judges. Chloe’s long term food dream is to set up a farm bistro with an innovative menu consisting of honest, simple food that celebrates local produce.
The team at D’vine Catering will contribute their expertise for the event also, including owner Kev Collins donning his chefs hat to provide the fish course and Lure’s new in-house chef looking after the canapes and entree. With such a combination of experienced chefs contributing to the menu, the guests will be delighted by their culinary experience.
