Enjoy a five course Whitsunday inspired degustation menu whilst dining in the stunning surroundings of Lure, Abell Point Marina. With locally sourced produce and an exquisitely well-constructed menu, relax with friends and enjoy an evening of incredible food and wine. Each course will be accompanied by the perfect wine to compliment the flavors of the dish, with wine blends hand selected for the event by the Lure team.
To add a unique element to the evening, our celebrity chefs will take the guests through a live interactive master class demonstrations highlighting the tips and inspiration for each dish. At the end of each master class, guests will be presented with the Whitsunday inspired course for enjoyment in the stunning marina surroundings.
Showcasing his Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern inspired dishes with a Whitsunday flare is executive chef, Ben Williamson, from Gerard’s Bistro in Brisbane. Ben teamed up with the Moubarak brothers to launch Gerards Bistro in 2012, creating the kitchen and driving the menu for the new venture. Receiving multiple accolades and notable mentions in key food/ restaurant guides, Gerard’s Bistro is testament to Ben’s dedication and culinary vision. Ben was awarded Chef of the Year in the 2017 Queensland Good Food Guide and has appeared as the guest chef challenger on Master Chef Australia. His wealth of experience and culinary passion will be conveyed throughout his master class.
Joining Ben as part of this unique event, is former Master Chef Australia contestant Chloe Bowles. During Chloe’s time on MasterChef she felt inspired by guest chefs including Maggie Beer, Marco Pierre White, Anna Polyviou and judge George Calombaris. Drawing upon the beauty of ingredients and allowing produce to speak for itself, Chloe likes to create dishes that are seasonal and simple yet bold in flavour. Says Chloe “The heart of my cooking comes from a desire to gather people together, and to cultivate community and relationships whilst feasting on good food that makes people happy.”
The team at D’vine Catering will contribute their expertise for the event also, including owner Kev Collins donning his chefs hat to provide the fish course and Lure’s new in-house chef looking after the canapes and entree. With such a combination of experienced chefs contributing to the menu, the guests will delighted by their culinary experience.
